Pine View Hyundai Supports the Children’s Literacy Fund

On a beautiful sunny day on June 6th, 2011, at the Annual Literacy Classic, perched at the 8th hole of the Wyndance Gold Club was a brand new, 2011 Hyundai Elantra.  In the support of the Children’s Literacy Fund, Pine View Hyundai was ready to hand over the keys to the first amateur golfer who scored a hole-in-on that hole that day. Two Toronto Argonaut cheerleaders were also on hand to cheer participants on.

As the golfers reached the hole, many of them commented something to the effect of “… so if I put this ball in that hole in one shot, I get to drive this car for a year?”

Michael Romeo, from Pine View Hyundai assured the each golfer that if they scored a hole-in-one, he would hand them the keys and, unlike other gold tournaments, the car was theirs forever.

In the short time since its inception, due mainly to public support of this annual golf tournament, the Children’s Literacy Fund has been able to distribute in excess of $125,000.00 to provide scholarships for deserving kids, fund Reading/Early Literacy programs in over 30 needy schools, and support the efforts of the Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery. Please take some time to visit their website.

Pine View Hyundai is proud to support The Children’s Literacy Fund.
